I also have four standard, naturally occuring isotopes; 32S, 33S, 34S, and 36S. While their masses are close in range, they all have different abundancies. 32S has a mass of about 31.97 and a natural abundance of 94.93%. 33S has a mass of about 32.97 and a natural abundance of .76%. 34S has a mass of about 33.97 and a natural abundance of 4.29%. While 36S has a mass of about 35.97 and a natural abundance of .02%.
All of my isotopes have a larger mass than I do, but not by much.
I like to form ions with elements that perfer to give up electrons rather than gain electrons. This is because, I have 6 valence electrons and almost have a full shell, so it is easier for me to gain 2 electrons instead of losing 6.
More About Me
My electron configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p4. I have six valence electrons;making me a little reactive. I am located two groups away from the Noble Gases, but I do not yet have a full shell. I am yellow, and have melting point of 44.7 degrees celsius and a boiling point of 119 degrees celsius. When I burn, I have a pale blue flame. I can also have a strong smell at times. While moving left to right on the periodic table, electronegativity increases, so my electronegativity, on the Pauling scale is 2.58. Ionization Energy also increases as you move left to right on the periodic table, therefore mine is 10.36001 eV. My atomic radius is 104 pm; atomic radii increase as you move down the column on the periodic table but decrease as you move from left to right. While ionic radii also increase as you move down a column on the periodic table. In addition to that they also increase as you move left to right; making my ionic radius 53 pm.
